Hi! My name is Abby! I have been a social worker for the last seven years working with adults and adolescents in the Metro East. I graduated from the University of Illinois with my MSW. Most recently, I have obtained my LSW and am excited to continue working with people in the therapeutic realm.
I have a strong background in communication and connecting with those I meet. During my experience in social work, I have utilized CBT, motivational interviewing, and talk therapy.
I strive to provide an inclusive, nonjudgemental, and trusting environment so my clients feel safe and heard. While I typically focus on adults, I welcome all age ranges, demographics, and any intersection of identities that are in need. Working together we will work on coping with stressors and developing mechanisms to assist with stressors in a collaborative effort. I also believe in taking an eclectic approach to counseling and working together to find the best modality for each individual.
I believe every person’s story is unique and should be met with unique empathy and compassion.

Hi! My name is Cheri Moore, LSW. While homeschooling my three children through their elementary years of education, I supported homeschooling families using my degree in special education. That is when I realized that difficulties with sound intolerance and listening often coexisted with seeing print and/or stationary objects appear to blur, double, and perhaps even move. These struggles can begin during early years of development, from a brain injury, and/or as you age affecting your ability to work at your level of intelligence.
Can you accept that illness, pain, death, loss, and struggles mean we are ALIVE? At some point in life, we all benefit from talking with a professional counselor. My Joyful Hobby is creating gluten and dairy free recipes using freshly milled grains bring me joy. My ingredients are a bit unique, but very affordable using a community food drop from Azure Standard and local resources. Check out my gut to ear to brain blogs to learn why I mill grains into flour (less than 30 seconds).
After losing part of my vision, I created picture-by-picture recipes with measurements and ingredients on the pictures helping those with partial vision loss, processing difficulties, and busy households enjoy cooking once again. They are also a wonderful way to teach all ages how to cook as if grandmother was in the kitchen baking with ingredients. I am looking forward to using my certification as a Mental Health Nutrition Clinical Specialist to encourage you to improve your gut to ear to brain health helping you respond more strongly to therapy and maintain progress.
