The Process
When you start counseling, it is an experience that will allow and support your exploration of self and help you develop skills to better manage life stressors. A skilled counselor will support your healing rather than direct it.
Our approach to counseling will focus on you and what you need from counseling. We will listen and attend closely to your needs, goals, hopes and dreams. We want you to feel heard, validated, and supported. We will encourage you to express your feelings, process your thoughts, find meanings and empower yourself through the counseling experience. Once you do that, you will notice an improved well-being and functioning.
